When I started out projects were crafted by hand with pencils, color markers and tracing paper. Oh - and the coffee was granulated instant with powdered cream. The design process is now light years away from those days (as is coffee) but still reliant on the most critical skills; understanding client needs and building long-term relationships based on respect and trust. I know the design speak now is all about trying to help guide clients through the evolving roles of traditional and new media in service to graphic identity. But really it's simple, solid design, knowledge and service.
